Our Custom Rug Program

Oasis/New World Rugs’ “Custom Program” allows you to create your own unique masterpiece. We offer custom rugs in Tibetan, Contemporary and limited Traditional styles, both in hand-woven and hand-tufted rugs. Our commercial tufted product is often used in custom stairway runners. We also offer a complete line of custom Natural Fiber rugs, both machine made and hand-woven.

Ordering a custom rug is simple and fun. After you have decided on a carpet design you select your colors from hundreds of color pods for each element of the rug. It takes about a week to get a carpet rendition, at which time you can make any changes you want. Once the rendition is approved it takes normally 4-6 weeks to get a strike-off of your rug. Once the final strike off is approved and the rug is ordered it takes 3-9 months to get your rug depending on size and quality. Final wash is either done in the country of origin or sometimes in Switzerland. There are advantages and disadvantages for both wash processes that can be explained to you by our sales staff.

There is always a lot of excitement when we receive a custom carpet. It is a “one-of-a-kind” product designed by you. But be mindful, since rugs are hand-made there are always imperfections; which in reality actually showcasing the art of the carpet.
